Congratulations, Daddy, On Your Newest Acronym!
Last night, Mommy & Daddy got all dressed up & went to Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Gala for the GA, AL, TN region. I didn't go. If I had been meant to wear a tux, I would have been born a tuxedo kitty, right?
I watched the festivities from home, on web cam. It really cut into my nap time, but I wanted to share in the excitement.
For each category, a video on each of the finalists was played. Then, there was a drum roll & the winner was announced. Daddy was a finalist in the Manufacturing/Consumer Products category. When they announced M. Brooks Smith as the winner for this category, he was STUNNED! It takes a lot to surprise my daddy, as he's always composed & sure of himself. He accepted the award & spoke to the audience, ending on a topic that is "so daddy." He ended by talking to the characteristics that make him & his company who & what they are - integrity, honesty & simple fairness.
So, congrats, Daddy on your newest acronym: E.O.Y. - Entrepreneur of the Year!
In November, we'll go to Palm Springs so that Daddy can participate at the national level (yes, I'm probably going).
Catch ya' later. --AJ the Kitty Boy
